With an impressive record of international appearances and over 50 competition awards, pianist Maria Narodytska is acclaimed by critics and audiences alike — described, among other things, as a “poetic pianist”. (Lynn Bayley, The Art Music Lounge).
Maria has earned top prizes at prestigious events such as the Takamatsu International Piano Competition, the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition, the Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano Competition, and the WorldVision International Piano Competition. Altogether, she has won more than 30 first prizes and received over 50 awards in international piano competitions.
Her growing discography includes five albums dedicated to the works of Brahms, Schubert, and Beethoven, released on SOMM Recordings and OnClassical, and distributed worldwide by Naxos. These recordings have already accumulated nearly 500,000 streams on Spotify and have been praised in numerous reviews in Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, International Piano, and other leading classical music media.
Recent stage highlights include appearances at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, and the Rexam Hall in Takamatsu — the latter with the Seto Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Takuo Yuasa.
Born in Ukraine, Maria Narodytska completed her studies at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where she trained in piano with Prof. Natalia Tolpygo and in composition with Iryna Aleksiychuk. Since 2015, she has continued her musical education in Germany and Austria, studying with Prof. Ralf Nattkemper and Prof. Stephan Simonian at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, and with Prof. Milana Chernyavska at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz.
